Lighting Products Launched Recently

Lighting is undoubtedly one of the factors of change when it comes to interiors in general and hotel interiors in particular. Towards the end of the year, hotel design editor Pauline Brettell looks back at some of the lighting designs that caught our attention…
The lighting, the technology behind it, the way it can be used to facilitate well-being, and the integral component that it inserts into the designer’s toolbox were in the spotlight at hotel design panel discussions. Whether boldly architectural or purely functional, lighting decisions are always an important part of design history, and the eight lights on our list all bring something different to this story.

Canadian opulence handmade furniture and lighting brand Gabriel Scott, in collaboration with six global designers and architects, has launched the Welles Reimagined lighting collection to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary this year. The designers reinterpreted the studio’s most iconic light fixture, the Welles chandelier, and the six lights were formalized into six capsule collections, including chandeliers, sconces and pendant lights.

The Danish architect and designer Mette Schelde is behind Fritz Hansen’s latest lamp series, which incorporates her characteristic functionality and style into three harmonious lighting designs. The MS series stands for clear lines and clear function. The floor, desk and table motifs made of steel each have their own identity and can be recognized in series at the same time.

Tubs Modular is the most decorative facet of the Tubs collection and offers architects and interior designers more solutions to explore the limits of their own creativity or that of their customers. Thanks to the virtual configurator developed by LedsC4, it is possible to create and refine, without limits, the final shape and style that best suits each project. New pipes, rails, connectors and decorative accessories of various shapes-spherical, cylindrical or tubular – made of transparent glass, opal glass or honeycomb panel. Tubs is a design by Studio Nahtrang.

The mix of luxurious raw materials and the brand’s attention to detail and workmanship emphasized the tactility of the Northern Lights SS23 collection. Inspired by the style and lines of the 1920s, the Bayreuth-inspired chandelier and wall lamp was designed by creative manager Donna Gridley and manufactured by the master craftsmen of the Northern Lights factory. Inspired by Fritz Lang’s brutalist lines in Metropolis, they embody the style of 1920s Germany, but are softened by the use of beautiful elliptical alabaster and glass shades.

This collection by designer Ana Bridgewater is committed to handwork and is made of recycled porcelain and recycled wood and is slightly dipped in gold to enhance the space and open up conversations about what is really valuable in our world and how the blessings of nature are really the jewels of our planet. Since the design pays homage to the coral formations and the endangered state of the coral reefs and oceans, part of Corallo’s profits will be used to save the destruction of the ocean and action its acidification.

The bathroom brand Crosswater expanded its growing product portfolio in the lighting sector. The new Tranquil Lights collection has been designed to combine effortlessly with the brand’s brass tableware solutions, the new collection allows metallic accents that connect the entire bathroom. The Tranquil Lights collection is available in three versatile models – a column, a pendant lamp and a halo lamp-and is designed to enhance the ambiance of the bathroom.

As part of Chelsom’s Edition 28 collection, the spiral metal tube of this design is decorated with glass balls in random places along the chandelier structure. The helical structure, which is suspended on discrete screen wires, can be adapted to different requirements in size, shape and workmanship, depending on the interior.

Since bubble lighting is popular for 2023, this line could not have been included in the Franklite portfolio at a more ideal time. Galaxy is a full range of single and multiple suspensions in satin nickel with clear cable or aged brass with black cable. The range is available with a selection of clear, amber, smoky or matte opal glass balls in various sizes.
