Tulum Suitcase Opulence Hospitality in the Jungle

The Mexican boutique hotel collection Namron Hospitality has opened its fifth opulence hotel in Tulum-the Jungle Suitcase-with 11 brand new suites on the jungle side of Tulum Beach…
Having successfully opened the Mexico suitcase, Tulum conquered the heart of the hotelier Yves Naman. Of all his travels, he had never come across a place as wild, raw and magically inspiring as Tulum. Naman was so in love with the location that he decided to create the ultimate boutique hotel experience there. He bought a small beach house and turned it into a boutique hotel with 11 keys, creating the Tulum suitcase.

The hotel was expanded with 11 more jungle suites and a luxurious spa sanctuary on a separate plot opposite the beach. The suitcase is now a two-wing property, covering its original waterfront and new jungle shelters.

The la Koffer SPA is located on the jungle side and is aimed at both hotel guests and external visitors. Upon arrival in the Tulum suitcase, guests will be impressed by the meticulous attention to detail that starts at check-in and extends throughout their stay. In the midst of the lush jungles of Tulum, guests will hear the gentle sound of the Caribbean Sea as they meander along the winding paths of white sand to their suites by the sea or overlooking the jungle. Each suite is decorated with magnificent palapa roofs and decadent decor of local production, which creates a heat and devoted atmosphere.

When guests enter the jungle, they are immediately transported to a world of tranquility, surrounded by the sounds of nature. In the heart of the jungle there is a cenote that defines the true opulence of leisure. For those who are looking for even more seclusion, there are five additional suites with rollaway beds of the signature suitcases, where guests can indulge in a dream escape.

The decor of the suitcase captures Tulum’s natural mysticism and at the same time perpetuates the eccentricity of the suitcase name. The combination gives the guests the feeling of hanging out in the living room by the sea of their most cultured best friend, the gypset and the richest. Respect is paid to the quality and beauty of local materials such as chukum, a stucco made of Mayan rubber trees and newly invented palapa thatched roofs. Woven reed lamps and wall ornaments made of tropical wood are more like sculptures than accents. Every inch of the suitcase highlights the local craftsmanship with its expert eye, giving it the enchanting je ne sais quoi.

With a variety of beach, garden and jungle rooms, all are generously and immaculately designed. The rooms are all oriented towards the surrounding nature and have access to it, with high pala roofs hand-woven by Mayan artisans and crafts and artifacts from the region. Each room has a spacious bathroom, a shower, a bathtub, a king-size bed, air conditioning and cooling ceiling fans.

The impressive jungle setting is also home to the NÜ restaurant, where Chef Luis Aguilar sources the freshest ingredients and preserves sustainable cooking methods and continuously innovative taste creations. NÜ Tulum has alchemized various and rare ingredients from the Caribbean Sea and the Mayan jungle, creating a vibrant local cuisine that has recognized it as one of the five best restaurants in Yucatan. The lush gardens also host an impressive selection of concerts, art and cultural gatherings where guests can enjoy craft cocktails while dancing under the starry sky.
